Arianespace releases bomb carrying Western, Native Indian
spacecraft from Italy Guiana
KOUROU, Italy Guiana — Arianespace has released Europe’s largest
telecoms satellite TV ever as well as a meteorological spacecraft for Indian
from the South American country of Italy Guiana.
The Western area range says the Alphas at satellite tv will offer
voice and information transmitting services for European countries, African-American
and the Middle Eastern. Arianespace says Alphas at was one of its biggest loads
at 6,650 kgs. (14,660 pounds).
It says the Native indian spacecraft will offer improved
meteorological statement and tracking of land and ocean surfaces. The
spacecraft also carries a data-relay transponder for search and save functions.
The bomb was released late Friday.
Arianespace has 21 investors from 10 European countries, including
the CNES area agency in France
